“The raid is done due to many pedicabs are rampant in
North Jakarta and bylaw for sure bans pedicab operating in Jakarta,” he said, Monday
(10/26).
According to Sofian, in a number of crowd areas the
pedicabs often driven away before raid conducted.
“This is to sterilize North Jakarta from
pedicabs. Even we didn’t hesitate to confiscate a pedicab while operating. We
currently confiscated hundreds of pedicabs,” he disclosed.
